Summer Retreat June 10-16, 2019, Rocky Mountains
Full Details and Registration (below)
Lodging
RMERC lodge
The lodge at Rocky Mountain Eco-Dharma Center is a simple, historical wooden structure with single, double and multiple rooms (+ tent sites) and several shared bathrooms. The lodge also includes a large group gathering place, kitchen, and extensive decks from which to enjoy the beautiful views. To learn more and see photos, click here.
Transport
Participants are responsible for their own transportation (shuttle, bus, or Uber) from the Denver airport to Boulder. We will arrange group shuttles from Boulder to the Center and back, a mountainous and rural 30-40 minute drive; a car will not be needed. Please budget a small offering for the gas and time of those assisting with transport.
Food
We will have a private cook, experienced in retreat gatherings, preparing nourishing and healthy meals for the duration of our time together. Food will be primarily vegetarian, with a once daily organic meat option for those who wish (see Registration). We will have two full meals at breakfast and lunch, and a lighter meal for dinner, such as soup and salad.
While we can accommodate food allergies and choices (vegan, gluten-free, etc), there is not a place for participants to store or cook their own food. If you are not able to have some flexibility within the scope described here, this retreat may not best suit your needs. Participants will also assist in chopping vegetables, clean-up, and other small tasks to support the easeful flow of communal meals and clean spaces.
Cost, Participation, and Scholarships
Total cost for this 7 day / 6 night retreat is: $ 525
Total cost, including a once daily organic meat addition, is: $ 550
Commitment to this retreat implies full participation; there are no options for part-time attendance.
Partial Scholarships are available - please inquire if you have financial need. Additionally, let us know if you are a young adult aged 18-32, a person of color/from a minority community, a full time social/environmental advocate, or a veteran. Scholarships awarded on a first come basis.
Dana
All of the registration fee goes toward rental of RMERC, our cook/food, and Casey’s flight.
